Common Questions
How far in advance should I book?
For stationery, start the design process 2 to 3 months before you want to mail your first piece. Save the dates go out 6 to 8 months ahead (9 to 12 for a destination wedding), invitations 2 to 3 months ahead (5 to 6 for destination). I only take two custom suites a month, so earlier is safer.
Do you paint at events that are not weddings?
Yes. Rehearsal dinners, showers and birthdays, and on the corporate side product launches, store openings, pop-ups, conference booths and holiday parties. Brand activations are quoted by attendee count and hours, and the artwork can be styled to your palette or campaign.
Do you travel outside Austin?
Yes. Pricing includes a 30-mile radius from my Austin studio, which covers Dripping Springs, Wimberley, San Marcos, Georgetown, Buda, Kyle and New Braunfels. Beyond that, travel and destination pricing is quoted per event. I can pack my paintbrushes in a suitcase in a heartbeat.
What do you need from me on the day?
A table, and that’s about it. I bring all paints, paper and supplies. Starting before the ceremony works best, so guests can be photographed early and then go enjoy the party.
What happens if you can’t finish every portrait?
For celebrations over 60 guests I recommend the finish-at-home option. Remaining pieces are completed in my home studio with the same level of detail and mailed to you, often alongside your thank-you cards.
Can I get printing handled too?
Yes. Printing is quoted separately based on quantity, sizing and paper, starting at $1,200 for 100 printed suites. The Celestial Heirloom Suite includes printing and assembly done by me.
